In April, 2010, Grace, Debbie, and Lee loaded up the Family Truckster and headed south in search of warmer climes and a big Mouse.
First stop, however, was Clemson, SC, to visit with Braden. His rowing club was hosting their Clemson Sprints Regatta that day,
so we got to spend time with him and his mates at Lake Hartwell. Later that evening, we all ate at Calhoun Corners Restaurant,
and the next day, Braden gave us an excellent tour of campus.
We were sad to bid Braden farewell, but we turned the Truckster
ever southward, and by Sunday evening had arrived at the Blue Heron Resort in warm and sunny Orlando, FL. Our timing was
fortuitous, as the next morning we awakened at 6:15 to watch from our balcony the space shuttle Discovery take off from Cape
Canaveral. Very cool!
The freshmen in the rowing club get to lift the launch out of the water and carry it to its berth ashore.
